On Thursday 1^st October our Yr13 HSC student took part in Bleed Control Training, showing them how to treat a serious bleed or stab wound.

During the Control the Bleed training session, Daniel Baird’s sister and childhood friend from the Dainel Baird Foundation shared the events surrounding his death and explained how access to the correct emergency equipment may have made a difference. We learnt about the contents and use of a bleed-control kit, where kits can be found, and practised treating a simulated wound. The session highlighted the importance of acting quickly and effectively in an emergency.
