Results - Summer 2024

Many of the students at BGGS have had great cause for celebration, as the A Level/ Level 3 and GCSE/ Level 2 results came out!  Students and staff at Bordesley Green Girls' School & Sixth Form work extremely hard to secure the best possible career opportunities and outcomes for our young people, with many going on to university and higher level training courses.

The A Level and Level 3 results were impressive this year, with 95% of the students passing their courses, 35% being at the highest possible grades of A* - B and Distinction*!  (Twelve students achieved these top grade across all their subjects!)

Most of the students are going on to further education, with a range of locations and courses being followed, and the majority are heading for their first choice of study institution.  Many are staying in Birmingham, at BCU, Aston, Newman or the University of Birmingham, but some are venturing as far North as Glasgow or South to King's College, London!  Likewise, although many are pursuing the very popular nursing, midwifery, teaching, dentistry and pharmacy courses, some are going into less commonly selected areas such as counselling, economics and even aerospace engineering!

Special congratulations are due to Aysha, Rafel, Bibi, Hawwa, Asma and Saffanah, who all achieved top grades in their courses, allowing them to fulfil their dream of pursuing their chosen courses at their first choice universities.

Not to be outdone, the GCSE and Level 2 results were also splendid, allowing the majority of the students to follow their planned pathway to the level 3 course of their choice.  64% of the students in Year 11 achieved passes at GCSE in both Mathematics and English, opening up a wide range of options for them in further study, with 47% of the students achieving strong passes, (level 5 or above).

Well done to everyone at Bordesley Green Girls' School and Sixth Form, students and staff, whose hard work, dedication and commitment have paid off in success for so many of our young people.  Whether at BGGS or beyond, our students are making their mark on the world and flying high to meet their dreams!
